The transfer project T1 focuses on the extension of the numerical methods developed in the framework of the C4 project, regarding the needs of an industrial project partner. The most important issue is to introduce a temperature-dependent Weibull-modulus in the Weakest-link approach. Given the fact that the Weibull-modulus appears as an exponent in all mathematical equations of the failure probability, implementation becomes challenging especially in the case of static and cyclic crack propagation. Furthermore, it is essential for the implementation whether the temperature dependence of the Weibull-modulus is reversible or irreversible. The existing experimental data of the project partner do not yet give a sufficient answer to this question. Therefore, additional experiments are planned in order to investigate the reversibility of the temperature dependence and to give a deeper insight into the physical mechanisms involved. Finally, the new methods will be verified by means of an industrial application, namely a lamda sensor element.
